Woodstock Bull Nose Plane
This plane is great to fine tuning joinery. It can clean up and precisely size both rabbets and mortise and tenon joints. The low angle of this plane can handle both end grain and straight grain.
Klein Step Drill Bit
In woodworking, you will occasionally have to drill metal sheet stock. Perhaps some brass for a nameplate or to change the size of screw holes in a hinge plate. This is the right tool for the job. If you've never owned a step drill, you'll be amazed at the results you'll get from this. You'll have rounder holes, less drill bit walking, and more accurate sizes than you've ever had before.
Starrett Automatic Center Punch
You can purchase cheap versions of this for $6, but they walk or drift, require repeated punches and end up costing more in time. This is the one to own. It will accurately mark a hole for drill and will prevent a drill bit from wandering. It's an essential tool for the shop to get accurate holes drilled, and this tools is as good as they come.
This is an overlooked gadget. It can be used to clean up dados and shallow mortises for hinges. Let's say you've used a dado blade to put a dado into some plywood for a shelving system. If the plywood raises up on the blade for a moment you might have a shallow spot in your dado. You could run the piece again, or you could just grab this plane, set it to the correct depth and clean up that shallow spot and save a lot of time and hassle. It might not be commonly used in your shop, but it's a great little problem solving device.
All In One Low-Profile Contractor Clamp
This is a great tool for breaking down sheet stock, especially if you have a small shop and can't run sheet goods on a table saw. It's also great for routing dados when assembling bookcases.
Porter Cable Forstner Bit
This a specialty set of drill bits that make perfectly round holes with flat bottoms. They are ideal for woodworking and you'll be surprised how you ever lived without them.
